Werner Krebser asked why the government was so slow to respond to the problems in Somalia. Rep. Wolf said it was because “people didn’t focus on the issue.” He also said there is “no government in Somalia, and terrorists on drugs are shooting up wherever you go. There is chaos in the streets. ”

Rep. Wolf responded by saying the Republican Convention was more open to different views on abortion than the Democratic Convention. “I believe we should be open. The Democratic Party is closed, controlled. If you didn’t meet the litmus test of Ron Brown, you didn’t get to speak.”
