Surviving are two nephews, two great-nephews and three greatnieces.

Baldwin Brown

Baldwin S. (Red) Brown, 68, of Culpeper, died Monday, Sept. 7 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.

He was the owner/operator of the Main Street Service Station for 25 years.

Mr. Brown was a member of the Culpeper County Volunteer Fire Department, V.W.F. Post .2524, American Legion Post .330, and a member of Culpeper Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mrs. Frances Carder Brown; four sons, John B. Brown of Locust Grove, Alan R. Brown of Lignum, David T. Brown of Griffinsburg and Todd W. Brown of Chester Gap. Mr. Brown is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Shotwell and Mrs. Julia Belle Jones, both of Culpeper. Additional survivors include eight grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today, Thursday, Sept. 10 at Found and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. H.O. Browning officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Jeffersonton.

Pallbearers will be members of the Culpeper County Volunteer Fire Department Company . 1.
