In the three bond referendums on the ballot this fall, to fund capital improvements to colleges, parks and mental health hospitals, are projects that will directly benefit Rappahannock residents.
Of the $472.4 million in projects for educational institutions, $2 million is for building new office, laboratory and greenhouse facilities at the Research Experiment Station in Winchester. This facility, one of several research stations that are part of the outreach program of Virginia Tech, conducts research and programs on fruit growing.
