separate physical, respiratory, occupational and speech therapy departments with the pulmonary and cardiac rehabilitation departments. The construction project is providing considerably more patient treatment space and better traffic flow.
In the past, these depatments were housed in spaces not originally designed for their use. The configuration of the new space was designed to better meet the needs of the individual treatment entities. The extra space has allowed a number of new therapies to be performed at the hospital which previously were not possible because of spacial limitations.
Though not an outpatient area, the hospital’s Obstetrics Department is also getting a face lift. This renovation is being completed separately from the other construction throughout the hospital, and is being performed by the hospital’s maintenance Department.
