Another business activity scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 27, is the Alive and Kicking Wacky Olympics, a big success last year. The Wacky Olympics lets businesses get active and have fiin competing in goofy events.
“Economic pressures have been stressful for almost all businesses in the area,” said Ayers. “The Wacky Olympics is a great way to build team spirit and have fun with workmates. People talk about it all year.”
As part of Alive and Kicking several fitness walks have been scheduled. The idea is to encourage employees to get outside and take a mile walk together during lunch time or during a break.
A few of the businesses that participate last year are still taking regular walks, according to Ayers. Employees oi Liberty Federal Savings Bank, Surles and Associates and several Fauquier County goverment offices continue to get some daily exercise during breaks.
