Nadine Atkins

Pearl Nadine Atkins, 44, of Sperry ville, wife of Marshall Atkins, died Monday, Sept. 7 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Atkins was a native of Sperryville. She was bom Sept. 14, 1947, the daughter of Mrs. Pearl Elizabeth Dodson of Sperryville and the late John S. Dodson.

Survivors in addition to her husband and mother include two sons, Dean Atkins and Neal Atkins, both of Sperryville; four brothers, John Marshall Dodson, Netus Sawii Dodson and Mac Vernon Dodson, all of Sperryville and Morris Wayne Dodson of Madison and three sisters, Janet Elizabeth Vest of Virginia Beach, JoAnn Buracker of Sperryville and Lou Madeline Good of Stanley.

A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. today, Thursday, Sept. 10 at Geest-Johnson Funeral Home in Culpeper with the Rev. John K. Burke and Elder Kirby Shenk officiating. Interment will be in the Sperryville cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Atkins, David Dodson, Richard Dw’yer Jr., Curtis Vest, J.R. Good, Johnny Vest, Kenny Atkins and Bobby Atkins.

Honorary pallbearers will be John Brown, Terry Dodson, Shelby Atkins, J.T. Atkins and John Sable.
