School Board Chairman Beverly Massie said she looked forward to further progress reports from the team and demonstrations by the children later in the year.
The board agreed to invite the Board of Supervisors to the October board meeting to hear a report from the consultant who is working on future space needs for the schools. They also voted to switch the November meeting to Wednesday so Dr. Gangel can attend a conference in Houston with the State Superintendent of Schools.
The board accepted a donation for cross-country uniforms from Mr. and Mrs. Edward Jenkins and approved fall field trips and fundraisers.
