Mr. Bowers is a three-time Grammy Award nominee for his Smithsonian Recordings Ameruaan Popular Song and American Musical Theater. " Hesperus was founded by Scott Reiss in 1979. A frequent collaborator with the National Museum of American History, the group performs baroque chamber music, colonial and Federal American repertoire, and its own fusion of medieval and Appalachian styles called “crossover." “A brilliant collaboration."
