Rappahannock County Republicans elected 23 delegates to the Party’s upcoming State Convention and debated several resolutions at their meeting Monday night.
The meeting was crowded with people who insisted on raising the abortion issue, to the consternation of party regulars who said the issue could guarantee defeat of Republicans in the Fall.
Walter Longyear reported that 23 persons had filed to be delegates to the convention on June 4-5 in Richmond.
