Open Space Recreation and Conservation funds have been used to match donations from private conservation groups to purchase the 103-acre Bush Mill Stream Natural Area in Northumberland County. Plans are underway to match tax checkoff funds with federal monies to puchase lands on Alton’s Creek, providing public access to the 1,800acre North Landing River Natural Area in southern Virginia Beach.
