the two season winners face off once again, this time each on their second-stringers. Ready Snodgrass, victorious on Tom’s War at Blue Ridge and Rappahannock, will ride Primalaga. Sara Laimbeer, winner of Casanova’s season opener on Uno Skipper, will ride her Caustic Response.
The owner-rider hurdle series also showcases season race winners; all three previous victors are entered. Chinn’s Crossing, winner at Casanova; Military Pride, winner at Blue Ridge, and Abacus, winner at Orange County, will square off.
A junior pony race opens the day. The ‘/2-mile event headlines each of the division winners from Rappahannock — Dance For Dot, Nickles and Dimes and Summer.
Hurdlers, maidens and winners, will all race over two miles in conditioned events. In the open division, a solid field of 14 is entered. Thirtyfive maiden entrants could cause as many as three splits — 11 starters are allowed over hurdles.
