As environmental educator Tim San Jule explained to his mostly young audience last Thursday, the Wildlife Center of Virginia is “a place where you take injured animals, then we take good care of them.”
But not just any animals. Said San Jule: “We won’t take care of a dog unless it’s a coyote and we won’t take care of a cow unless it’s a buffalo — and that’s pretty rare in Virginia.
“We won’t take care of a cat unless it’s a bobcat, and we do have some of those.”
