Boy Scouts
will honor
top leaders
The Shenandoah Area Council, Boy Scouts of America will hold it’s 65th Annual Scouters Recognition Dinner on Friday, April 2.
Chris French, President, Shenandoah Telephone Co. in Edinburg will serve as Recognition Dinner Chairman.
The dinner will be held at the Ridge Campus of James Wood High School, Winchester, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Mike Didawick, Director of Assessments, Frederick County will be the master of Ceremonies for the evening.
Dinner tickets are available at the Armstrong Service Center, Winchester, at a cost of $10 per person.
During the evening’s festivities, Scouters from a nine county area of Virginia and West Virginia will be recognized for outstanding service to youth. The awards being presented are the Silver Beaver, Statuette, Scouter Training, Unit Veteran and Scouter Veteran.
The National Council, Boy Scouts of America, presents the Silver Beaver Award upon approval of a nomination made for the award by the Shenandoah Area Council. This award is presented to volunteer Scouters who render noteworthy service of exceptional character to the boyhood of their community.
