The Sperryville Bridge Club was entertained on Friday night at the home on Mrs. Mary Q. Snead.
Those playing were Mrs. Miriam Reeve, Mrs. Edna Metzinger, Mrs. Cotton Miller, Mrs. Elisabeth Johnson, Mrs. Lucy Ann Maeyer, Mrs. Eleanor Cordle, Mrs. Helen Brown and Mrs. Dot Estes.
Prizes were awarded to Mrs. Maeyer, Mrs. Reeve, Mrs. Cordle and Mrs. Johnson.
Mrs. T.M. Johnston spent last week with her grandchildren Bethany and Broocks Meade in Charlottesville while their mother was away on a business trip.
Mrs. Charles Hackley of Farifax and Mrs. Anna Fincham attended the 50th wedding anniversary for Mr. and Mrs. Maywood Cornwell at the Church of the Brethren in Luray on Saturday. Many relatives and friends from various areas were in attendance. We wish Mr. and Mrs. Cornwell many more years together.
