Chancey (viola da gamba, early and traditional violin, and the medieval vielle, rebec, and kanienc) has been a frequent guest artist with the Folger Consort and is executive director of Golden Apple Records. In addition to their “Crossover” program, the ensemble performs •medieval, renaissance and baroque chamber music, Spanish and •British colonial American works and Classical blues.

For their crossover programs, Reiss and Chancey have teamed •up with American folk specialist Bruce Hutton (banjos, guitars, mandolin, lap dulcimer, ukelele, mouth bow, and vocals). He has been a member of Hesperus since 1985 and is a founding member of •the Double Decker String Band, whose performances and recordings •have been praised in the U.S., Canada, England, Germany and Uapan.
