This trio has performed its special blend of music for a wide ranging and diverse group of audiences. The trio has recently returned from a 12-city, 5-country tour of the Far East, where it performed in venues as diverse as the prestigious Jakarta International Festival and the remote Temburong district of Brunei. •; - For its concert in Washington the trio will perform an eclectic mix of secular, and religious songs, as well as dances, and instrumental pieces ranging from 13th century Spain and 18th ICentury England to 20th century America. ; ; Critic Don MacLean of The Washington Post summed it up by ;saying, “for those willing to expand the notion of ’folk music’ to include folks from any place and any time, Hesperus is highly ;recommended.” i Hesperus records on the Golden Apple label, a production Company they started in 1989.
