What do we want?

When the sun conies out, the mud dries and the grass begins to grow, Rappahannock is a truly special place to live. It is a long way in style if not in miles from the urban sprawl to the northeast.

Think about it. There is no 7-Eleven; no stoplight; no shopping mall. Our roads are not gorged with traffic; our air is not filled with purple smog. This is a nice place.

One of the little things that helps make this county so special is the blend of paved and unpaved roads. The good roads (U.S. 211 and 522, Va. 231) allow7 traffic to move smoothly through the county. The other roads force us to slow down. It is a good thing to slow7 dow7n every once in a while and enjoythe details of Rappahannock County.
