Hesperus blends
different styles
Hesperus, the Washington-based ensemble named for Venus and the West Wind, will perform its unique blend of European Medieval and Renaissance music with traditional American Folk styles at The Theatre at Washington, on Saturday, April 10, at 8 p.m.
In a style defined as “Crossover,” Hesperus calls its program “an entertaining and eye-opening fusion of American blues, ragtime, Cajun, swing, vaudeville, Appalachian and gospel blended with European Medieval and Renaissance music.”
