The Architectural Review Board favored another model in an “acorn” style, and the council survey ed town residents about their choices by sending ballots out in water bills. Finally the town settled on the Pemco fixture and then had problems getting a sample as another company took over their manufacture. Last month the sample fixture was finally installed.
Mayor Stewart Willis said the only commentj he had received about the light carhe from Betsy Murray who complained about the amount of light the fixture puts out.
Mr. Eldred said refractors could be put in the fixtures that would force the light into an oval in the street and away from windows.
