Mayor Willis said he had not received his resignation but expected it. Mr. Zumwalt is moving to Texas.

The council received a survey of town streets prepared by John Baumgardner.

Mayor Willis asked him to return next month after council members have had a chance to look over the maps. Mr. Baumgardner said he would, “If you let me go first.”

Member Charles Tompkins reported on plans for Colonial Christmas that it will be a one-day event on December 9. RAAC is organizing the vent. Council approved paying RAAC $1,000, $700 fir greens and $300 for other expenses of the event.

Council also approved appropriating $1,338 for a reprinting of the brochure put out by the business council.

Frances Eldred reported that the spring printing of the brochure was very popular and all copies are now gone, just before the busiest part of the tourist season. She said paying for the brochure is difficult for some of the small businesses in town. Reprinting will cost $2,177 for 10,000 copies and $2,783 for 15,000 copies. The business council will pay for the rest of the cost for the additional printing.

The committee looking at the future of the town will meet with the owners of the Inn at Little Washington next.
