Music Classes Offered

Music Circle: half hour weekly classes offered for ages 3-7. Handson introduction to folk instruments and music from around the world, basic music theory, singing, musical games and more. Bike-A-Thon Planned :

There will be a Bike-A-Thon on Oct. 1 (rain dates is Oct. 8) to bene- >' fit the St. Judes Children’s Hospital. St. Jude’s hospital provides total I care for children with catostophic medical problems such as cancer, at no t cost to the families. Money is raised through donations and event such as \ the Bike-A-Thon which is sponsored by pledges. Prizes will be awarded. I Pledges of $35 will entitle you to a T-shirt and $75 in pledges will earn a ; T-shirt and duffel bag.

It will be held on Dearing Road (Route 628) near Flint Hill from 1-4 ! p.m. hopefully making this a family outing. It isn’t just for children its for adults also. To pre-register or for more information please contact Sarah Brown at 675-3624.

Bird Mart Exhibit Set

Hundreds of birds will be on sale and display at the Sept. 24 Bird Mart at the auditorium of the Annandale Boys and Girls Club. Educational videos and displays will be shown all day from 10-5 at 6200 ; Little River Turnpike (rear), Alexandria. For recorded directions call 703-256-2273. Quintet To Perform

The Rappahannock Quintet will perform original music at Ki Theatre at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14, featuring harp, flute, cello, violin, hammered dulcimer and a capella singing by The Eclectics. Tickets are available at Mountainside Market and Cabin Fever or call 675-1088.

Benefit Auction Planned
