The Rappahannock Soccer League’s season opened last Saturday. The first games of the season were deemed a success by parents, coaches, the League Commissioner, and, most importantly, the players.
“It’s great to see all the smiles,” Commissioner, Bob Lucking said.
The season opened with a bang for Rappahannock’s U12 soccer team as they defeated Culpeper “two” 4-2, Alexander Strange and Ryan Brown each scored two goals for Rappahannock.
Head Coach, Lorinda Bosch, emphasized that teamwork was the primary reason for the victory. “We passed very well and set up some outstanding scoring opportunities. We got some great assists and solid defense. We’re all very pleased.”
The U14 Rappahannock team lost 9-0 to a team from St. Lukes. The St.
