Rappahannock Coach, Dave van de Graaff knew that this race would be a test. “Any time you get into a race like this where you have lots of teams running, it helps to have your kids run in a- pack. That way they all finish about the same time, which helps your score. Unfortunately for us, we don’t run that way.”
Candice Dennis won the Developmental race with a time of 19:47. Rappahannock placed third of eight teams in the Developmental race.
The cross country team is next at an away meet at Strasburg this Wednesday. They will open at home in a meet with Strasburg, Brentsville, Clarke County and Page County next Wednesday, Sept. 27.
