billed to the churches, seven are billed to the county and 43 are billed to the town. Eighteen new locations are proposed for the lights. Mr. Eldred also proposed that a light be installed at the entrance to the fire hall and that the one at the entrance to Spring Mountain School be moved so the light is on the street.
Mr. Eldred said this plan would provide more even light in the streets. He said that for years people have complained that the town is not well enough lit, but he expects that once the new lights, which provide twice as much light are installed, people will complain of too much light. “You will immediately hear from everyone who lives within 50 feet of a light asking you to take this light out and leave the rest. You should not consider any changes for at least six months to let people get used to a new level of light,” he said.
