But the mama, 6-year-old llashcamp, it developed today, had been bred last spring to the stallion Zorawar at Clearwater Farm.
John H. Clark, publicity director at Keeneland, said it has been established that llashcamp was taken to the court of Zorawar by mistake. She occupied the same stable at Churchill Downs with another mare, Miss Blindfold, who had been booked to meet Zorawar in stud. Somebody simply delivered the wrong mare to Zorawar.
I he mistaken delivery was discovered later, Clark said, but it was believed llashcamp was barren so the error was not reported to the owner, Mrs. HJ. Andrews in Ohio.
The “little mistake” arrived shortly after llashcamp worked a half-mile in the mud in the excellent time of :51 seconds.
