The programs will be held on four consecutive Mondays, 10 a.m. to noon, starting Oct. 16. Free childcare will be provided during the programs that will beheld at Warrenton United Methodist Church, 341 Church Street, Warrenton.
The topics and featured speakers for each session are:
Oct. 16: Changing times and bodies: The Baby and You, with Dr. Mary Martin, OB-GYN, and Dr. Louise Schreiner Pediatrician.
Oct. 23: Pregnancy and Birth: Safe and Rewarding, with Bonnie J. Darrell, Nurse Practitioner and Mary Russell, B.S., Certified Childbirth Educator.
Oct. 30: We Are What We Eat: The Importance of Good Nutrition, with Wendy Dodson, R.N. and Kathleen Maier, Herbalist.
Nov. 6: Breastfeeding And What Next? with Rosemary Wlaschin, R.N., Public Health Nurse.
The sessions will be facilitated by Ruby Pride, R.N., the Clinical Coordinator of the Fauquier Free Clinic. Complimentary gifts for the baby and mother will be offered each week. Participants for all four sessions will receive free Lamaze Birthing Classes. These programs have been made possible with support from the March of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation.
