sprawl and its enects in Northern Virginia. As rapid growth has overrun large portions of open land in nearby counties such as Prince William, Loudoun and Fauquier, sprawl and its consequences, such as traffic jams and high taxes, have become Northern Virginia’s hottest political issue.
Rappahannock County has been spared from sprawl so far, but as development creeps closer, the danger of a spillover of sprawl into our county grows. This is the issue that will be explored at the April 14 forum, which will examine the experience of nearby counties
