• RCES Primary Science Fair is in progress this week. Science projects from students in grades kindergarten through third are on display in the gym through Friday morning. If you have an opportunity to stop by to visit the fair, please do so.
So much is gained by participating in a Science Fair. Students learn to research, organize, analyze and record data, summarize, and so much more. All of these are skills which will benefit the students in other areas. It is a great exercise in critical thinking, a skill we will use for the rest of our lives.
• We have rfiany 4-H All Stars in our midst! Apparently All Star status is extremely difficult to achieve and you hold that distinction for a lifetime. RCES Volunteer and former School Board Member Mrs. Frances Thornton, RCES Guidance Counselor Mrs. Candace Lamma, RCES Aide Mrs. Jennifer Gray, and RCES Parents Mrs. Jan Palmer and Mrs. Hazel Zinn-Day have all been honored with this title.
• There seems to be some confusion as to the exact dates of .Spring Break this year. Schools will be closed from April 17-24. They will re-open
