Interment was in the family section of the church cemetery at Brightwood.
W.C. Thompson Funeral Home of Culpeper was in charge of the arrangements.

Miss Phoebe Ella Green, 99, of Amissville died Saturday, March 25 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Leesburg.
She was born March 20, 1901 in Amissville.
Miss Green was a graduate of the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg. She then taught for a short time in the Culpeper County Public Schools.
In the 1940’s she worked as a buyer for the former Grayson’s Department Store on Main Street in Warrenton.
Then she returned to Williamsburg working for the next 23 years as an Assistant to the Auditor and Bookkeeper at the College of William and Mary.
Miss Green was an honorary lifetime member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity of the College of William and Mary. She chaperoned for the fraternity in the 1950’s and 60’s.
While living in Williamsburg, she was a member of the Williamsburg United Methodist Church, where she served as treasurer.
Upon her retirement, she moved back to her home at Amissville where she worked part-time at the post office. She was a member of the Amissville United Methodist Church, where she also had served as treasurer, and at her death, was the oldest member of the church.
She was a lifetime member of the Amissville Volunteer Fire Company and Rescue Squad, where she served driving and riding in the ambulance well in to the age of 80 and beyond. She also was a former volunteer with Hospice Support of Fauquier.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, March 28 at Amissville United Methodist Church by the Rev. Richard Gordon.
