Lyle “Buck” Edward Beatty Sr., 73, of Front Royal died Sunday, March 26 at Heritage Hall Health Center.
Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, March 29 at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal by Samuel Blakely. Burial was in Panorama Memorial Gardens in Waterlick.
Mr. Beatty was born April 29, 1926 in Flint Hill, son of the late Samuel and Laura North Beatty. He retired from Avtex Fibers as a press operator and was an U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge and VFW.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Kathlene Shifflett Beatty of Waterlick; a son, Lyle E. Beatty Jr. of Front Royal; two daughters, Barbara A. Rosenberry of Herndon and Mary E. Vermillion of Sterling; a brother, Samuel Beatty of Haynes City, Fla.; two sisters, Ann May of Bristol, Pa. and Jane Dodson of Dickerson, Md.; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Keith Rosenberry, Jerry Vermillion Jr., Butchie Beatty, Rusty Beatty, Mike Shifflett and W.T. Shifflett.
Honorary pallbearers were Lynn Cameron, Cecil Cameron, Bruce Cameron, James Beatty, Rodney Shifflett and Earl Menefee.
