Larry Wimberley

Larry Lavon Wimberley, 53, of Culpeper died Thursday, March 23 as a result of an automobile accident.
He was bom March 18, 1947 in Rappahannock County.
Mr. Wimberley was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was also a member of Open Door Baptist Church and a member of the Culpeper American Legion, serving as an honor guard.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Hazel and Fred Lamb of Culpeper and two sisters, Sheila Wehrmann of Fredericksburg and Sonya Smith of Sperryville.
Additional survivors include two nieces, Amber Pierce and Alicia Smith, both of Sperryville; two nephews, Patrick McDonnell of Fredericksburg and Steve Hall of Colorado and several stepbrothers and stepsisters.
Graveside services were held on Tuesday, March 28 at Culpeper National Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Jarvis officiating.
Honors were provided by the Culpeper American Legion Post #330 and the Culpeper VFW Post #2524.
