There were two age groups: one for 18 and over and one for under 18.
A total of 142 responses were received. Sixteen were received for the over 18 category. Several classes at Rappahannock Elementary School responded to the essay, however 22 of the under 18 were brought directly to the Rappahannock News office or e-mailed to us.
Winning essays will be printed in the Rappahannock News.
