Independent film maker Allison Argo, from Washington D.C., traveled from Kenya to Florida, Tanzania to Rappahannock County, to create a PBS documentary worth viewing. “Wisdom of the Wild” will be aired Sunday, April 2 at 8 p.m. EST. For those without access to PBS, a video is on loan at the Rappahannock County Library, along with “Keepers of the Wild” and “The Last Frog”, made previously for National Geographic by Argo, that include county scenes.
The film features heartwarming stories, blended with educational facts.
Each adventure brings the viewer to a different comer of the world.
Elephants, chimpanzees, dolphins and the “tiny creatures” that are featured in the Rappahannock scenes are elevated to proportions of respect that they rightfully deserve, and for good cause.
