April
Slumbering, bronzed, hills that roll, awaken and sing from winter’s browns. Humble sprouts of brand-new green, offer sweet nibbles to a hungering foal, And earthy critters that remain unseen. A cascade of willow’s branches trace, a weeping green of newborn leaves, that bow to the daffodill’s nodding face. Grace pinkbud’s glaze among the trees, (winds whisper “winter’s not a trace”). The meadow’s yearnings, wildflowers free to kiss the breezes, April sings. Earthly stirrings and warm reverie, haunting mysteries, Mother Nature brings (preparing now for summer’s peace). Forsythia’s gold’n waving arms warming the atmosphere, and glowing. They gesture to pussy willow’s charms, "enchanting “— all those hollow’s knowing that fuzzy nod that welcomes spring’s hello.
