Those who may be seeking an alternative for their children’s education and those who might wonder about the school behind the contention at the recent Rappahannock Planning Commission meetings might avail themselves of the opportunity to see the Hearthstone Whole Family Learning Center in Castleton on April 2.
The Hearthstone school will have its Open House on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. and all are invited to attend.
The Hearthstone Whole Family Learning Center offers a Waldorf-inspired curriculum and environment—one in which art, music and nurturing are an integral part of the educational experience. Hearthstone is dedicated to providing an education for the whole child and is directed at reaching that whole child and integrating the child’s capacity for thinking, willing and feeling.
Hearthstone is a cooperative school: one in which the member families all contribute to the education of the children.
