Photo courtesy of Hazel Zmn-Day Ten teens from Rappahannock County recently attended 4-H State Congress in Blacksburg. Lauren Kaye, David Massie, Nathan Corbin, Dylan Corbin, Andy Propst, and Ashley Corbin enjoyed the week by attending workshops and being involved in community service projects. Nathan Welch, Brian Taylor and Bruce Flinchum competed at the state level in the instrumental category. Ruth Ann Oyster competed at the state level in vocal and won second place. Her performance of “Everywhere” was excellent during the State 4-H Share the Fun Talent Show in front of the approximately 700 delegates from all over the state. Rappahannock is proud of Ruth Ann Oyster and all of the Senior 4-H members who attended this year’s State Congress.
