Want to be a part of the ' RCHS Drum Line? Practices may begin sometime in July if there is enough interest. Any band student who would like to join should contact Brian Taylor at 987-8026. If you love to drum, we encourage you to come and try-out.

posed for next year may dis- | rupt our award-winning band. We ask that any concerned parent, student, and anyone who is interested in the band program at RCHS to call, write or visit your school board representative, the new principal or the new superintendent.
Band is a class that needs to be in an alternating block or split class (50 minutes for band and 50 minutes for another elective such as art, drama, newspaper, yearbook, etc.). If band is locked into a J
4x4 situation, then a band stu- j dent signing up for fall, may ! be in conflict with a needed ' class in the spring and not be able to take band.
This student would then miss out on Tri-County band, Va. Tech. Band, etc. Also, con- ( certs would be very difficult if 1 not impossible because of lack of instrumentation in the band. How can we allow this
