Meredith Bean McMath is an award-winning Loudoun County historian. In 1998 she co-founded Run, Rabbit, Run, a History Video company whose first work aired several times on The History Channel. In 2001, the Newseum commissioned McMath to create a living history play based on the true story of three female journalists during the Civil War. She also is a free-lance writer for The Washington Post.
Much of the information McMath will be discussing also serves as the backdrop and texture for her Civil War novel, Pella’s Angel, which focuses on life in Loudoun County from 1863 to Reconstruction through the ordeals of its fictional hero, Annabelle MacBain.
