Culpeper, Warren and Page Counties. The group has monthly meetings at the Old Sperryville Book Shop, on the third Tuesday of the month, from 7:30 to 9. In addition to hosting presentations, the group undertakes projects to preserve local history, plans to debut a Web site, and is working on a Civil War map of Rappahannock County.
Upcoming speakers at the group will discuss the Battle of Front Royal, local campaigns in our area, and the Battle of Chancellorsville.
The Blue Ridge Civil War Round Table is also sponsoring “Sperryville Civil War Days 2002,” a reenactment and historical interpretation of major Civil War events in Sperryville on Saturday, Sept. 21. and Sunday, Sept. 22. This event takes place along Main Street in Sperryville and features living history7 re-enactments (encampments, drills, demonstrations, weapons displays, and morel. Civil War music by period musicians, author talks and signings.
