On Friday, July 12 at 8 p.m., the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community will sponsor a concert by Rappahannock musician Tom Espinola and New Mexican musician Steve Smith, at the Theatre at Washington. Espinola and Smith will perform a wide range of original and traditionally-oriented instrumental and vocal music, reflecting their backgrounds in Bluegrass, Celtic, Jazz, Chamber and South American styles. Performed on mandolins, mandolas, mandocellos, guitars, voice and percussion, their music takes the listener from chamber and old time mountain styles to the light and animated in the stroke of a pick. Don’t miss this great night of music. Tickets $12 with advance reservations, $15 at the door. For reservations, contact Sallie Morgan at smorgan@tidalwave.net or 987-8677.
