I hope everyone had a great Fourth of July! We went to the Potomac Cannons Baseball game and watched fireworks. The game was great and the fireworks display was awesome. I could have done without the traffic but it was great fun.
Rev. John Haynes Sr. and his wife Robin have been installed as the new Pastor of the Amissville United Methodist Church. They have two grown sons, one of whom is a pastor as well. They were welcomed at the church with a reception following the Sunday service and they were introduced to the Amissville community in the Amissville fireman’s parade last week. Rev. The Amissville United Methodist Church will be having their Vacation Bible School, July 22 through July 26 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The theme this year is “God’s Creation”. Children from age three to 12 are invited to attend.

Amissville Baptist Church Vacation Bible School is in full swing! Brandon Dawson has done a great job as director this year; it was a lot of hard work and effort. If you see him at Muskrat Haven Farm tell him good job!
It was nice to see Helen Sylvester in church on Sunday, happy belated birthday to her.

Congratulations to all the winners for the queen and her court, our own Brandy Early and Bethany Baldwin, both of Amissville did fantastic. • The Amissville Ruritan Club handed out their scholarship to Jessica Nawrocki this year. Jessica is a graduate of Rappahannock High School, ' and the daughter of Rick and Sandy Nawrocki. Jessica will be attending Liberty College in the fall. She is a great student and athlete, her parents are very proud of all her accom• plishments.
