The Sheriff's Office reported a fair amount of activity in the week leading up to and through the 4th of July weekend.
Probably the most troubling to Sheriff Larry Sherertz was the call which came in around 5:45 p.m. on July 2 from the mother of a 15 year-old girl. Earlier in the day while her daughter was alone at home a strange man who called himself “Orville” appeared at the house and began asking the girl questions which made her uncomfortable, among them questions about the proximity of her neighbors.
Deputy Mark Currence investigated and a look-out was posted for a 30-year old man, about 5’8” tall weighing 200 pounds with a mustache and brown hair. He was driving a teal Sunbird and was last seen in the Huntly area near Fox Hall Farm Road.
