Jackson District asked, “Are you staying with this architectural group?” to which Supervisor Roger Welch of Wakefield District added, “The architect missed it by 40 percent.”
“We have already signed a contract with the architect,” Chappell said.
Frazier responded, “He didn’t hold up his end of the contract already.”
Chappell replied that he would call a special session of the Rappahannock County School Board to discuss the options.
In public forum, Dr. Monira Rifaat bf Sperryville expressed grave concerns regarding the bids, “I am very concerned with how you are spending- my tax dollars if construction on this project proceeds based on only one bid.”
Other business
The county has sought bids for reassessments of land values within the county, receiving only two offers.
“We received two fully compliant and complying bids,” reported McCarthy, adding that the company who did the reassessments four years ago offered the lowest bid.
