Spring Auction
Wakefield is hosting its sixth annual Spring Auction and Dinner on Saturday, April 23, and this year’s theme is “Mountain Spring.” Tickets are only $40 per person, and include a reception and sit down dinner. Auction items include, to name just a few: overnights at the beautiful Middleton Inn and Fairlea Farm in Little Washington, a gift basket from Royal Oak Books, a hand-made “schoolhouse” quilt lovingly stitched by WCDS grandparent Jane Heile, a framed, limited edition civil war print by Mort Kuntsler, a beautiful rooster plate from Geneva Welch, for you football fans: 4 tickets to the Cincinnati Bengals vs. Baltimore Ravens and 5 tickets to the Washington Redskins vs. the Baltimore Ravens pre-season, an oil painting entitled “Backfield in Fall” by Barbara Heile Sherwood, two round trip tickets on Independence Air, and a $150 gift certificate to Hartman Jewelers. Coffee House
The Key Club is sponsoring the 2nd Wakefield Coffee House on Saturday, April 9, from 8-10 p.m. The event is open to Wakefield students in grades 7-12 and their guests. There is a cover charge of $2.00.
