The Rappahannock (bounty Democratic Committee hereby announces I that it will hold an assembled caucus at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, April 18, | 2005, at The Theatre at Washington, 291 Gay Street, Washington, Virginia for the purpose of electing 2 delegates and one alternate to the 7th Congressional District Convention. In accordance with the Virginia Democratic Party Plan, the Rappahannock County Democratic Caucus is open to all Democrats registered to vote in Rappahannock County. Persons wishing to be candiI
dates for Delegate shall fill out and submit a filing form along with a voluntary administrative fee of $5.00. Completed forms and fees may be mailed to RCDC, PO Box 277, Washington, VA 22747 or given to one of the officers. Linda Dietel, Ray Boc, Julie Emery, or Yogi Bear. In all cases the forms must be in the hands of an officer no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2005. Slates p nla> be formed, and the same deadline and rules shall apply. Delegate Filing Forms, copies of the Call to Caucus, and the Temporary Rules for the Caucus are available at the Registrar of Voters' office on Gay k Street, Washington, during their regular business hours, or by calling Julie Emery, Secretary, 937-2314. On Monday. April 18, the doors to the Caucus will be opened at 6:30 p.m. for the check-in /certification process. All participants of the Caucus shall sign a standardized declaration form stating that he or she is a Democrat; does not intend to support any candidate who is opposed to a Democratic Nominee in the next General Election; is not a member of any other political party; has not participated and will not participate in the nomination process of any other political partv for the 2005 General Election; and is a registered voter in Rappahannock County. Caucus Declaration Forms must be filled out at the Caucus prior to participating m the Caucus. At 7:30 p.m. the doors to the Caucus will be closed and no person may complete a form and participate in the Camus after that Ume with the exception of those persons in line to check-in at 7:30 p.m. y.he f-ongresxional District Convention will convene on Saturday May 21 at 12:00 noon at the Pocahontas Middle School, 12000 Three Cahopt Road, Richmond, Virginia.
