Relay for Life Team Captains’ Meeting
The third and final meeting of the Rappahannock Relay for Life Team Captains will be held on Thursday, April 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the Washington Baptist Church. While teams can register right up to the day of the Relay, those team captains who register their teams by this meeting will assure that their team’s name is on the back of this year’s Relay shirts. Also, team members may be added to teams until the day of the Relay but only registering before April 7 will assure that team shirts will be ordered in the proper sizes. Team packages can still be picked up by calling Ben Atkins at 635-2377 or Bette Mahoney at 675-3446.
Sign Language of the Soul at the Library
Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community welcomes Dr. Dale Schusterman, who will give a talk at the library, Friday, April 8 at 8 p.m. The chiropractic physician will talk about his book, “Sign Language of the Soul-A Handbook of Healing”. Sponsored by RAAC as part of the Second Friday at the Library Series. Admission is free.
Four & Twenty Blackbirds host a dinner
Four & Twenty Blackbirds Restaurant in Flint Hill will host a wine dinner with Linden Vineyards on Friday, April 8.
The five dinner courses will be matched with different Linden wines and winemaker Jim Law will be on hand to talk about his wine crafting techniques before each course. Dinner is at 7p.m. and the cost is $75 per person. Call for reservations at (540) 675-1111.

Sign Language of the Soul
Dr. Dale Schusterman will hold a weekend course presenting his latest material and insights drawn from his book “Sign Language of the Soul.” Participants will learn a comprehensive, yet easy hands on approach to balancing oneself and accessing the hidden issues behind illness on April 9 and 10 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Belle Meade Schoolhouse in Sperryville. James P. Gannon joins the growing list of Rappahannock County authors with his newly published book, “A Life in Print.” Gannon plans to read selections on his life as a political reporter in Washington D.C. and his retirement years in Rappahannock County at the Old Sperryville Bookshop on Friday, April 8 at 7:30 p.m.
4-H Jumble sale
The Rappahannock 4-H Livestock Club is seeking items from the community for its second annual Jumble Sale on Saturday April 9 at the Flint Hill Fire station. Some of the county’s antique furniture, collectibles, and other household items will be for sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Shoppers can buy refreshments, raffle tickets and meet members of the dub. No dothing please. Items that are related to Rappahannock County are especially appreciated. Donations are tax dedudible. While you shop, enjoy music by Debbie Zinn.
