Spring is a time to come out — to celebrate the arrival of warm weather, the growth in the garden, and to eiyoy the many activities our community provides for fun and entertainment.
Hearthstone School welcomes the community to come out for their annual fundraising auction to enjoy an afternoon of acquiring some wonderful and unique gifts, antiques, food, furniture and dining opportunities! The auction will be held at the School, located on Route 211, just 2 miles west of the town of Sperryville.
Hearthstone’s event will kick off on Saturday, April 9, with a silent auction from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m., and a live auction beginning at 4 p.m. and running through 6 p.m. We are veiy excited about the caliber of our auction items this year, many of which have been generously donated by Rappahannock County businesses and community members. Hearthstone School greatly appreciates these donations and would like to sincerely thank these businesses and individuals for their generous support.
The Auction will feature many wonderful items, including a brunch for two at Four & Twenty Blackbirds, overnights for two at the Foster-Harris House and the Middleton Inn, a wine tasting at Sharp Rock Vineyards, a handmade quilt from Beech Spring Farm, a perennial garden and other exciting items.
Numerous businesses have generously donated gift certificates and items for the auction, including The Thornton River Inn, Griffin’s Tavern, Sunnyside Farms, the Epicurious Cow, Datalytix Computer Services (computer repairs/upgrades), Tea, Lace & Roses, Momingside Farm & Nursery, Green Mountain Horticulture (3-man landscaping crew for a day and/or plant installation), Tbrry’s Photography Studio (family or other portraits), Journey Wythyn, The Jewelry Box, Nature Neutral, Inc., The Natural Marketplace and Hartman Jewelers.
