And from a switch on the dash, you can choose your driving surface by selecting between three ACD modes—tarmac, gravel and snow—for exacting response to changes in road surfaces. It’s like having an extra brain that’s obsessed with traction.
Aerodynamically, we took downforce technology a step further and added eight little razorback wings to the roof of the Lancer Evolution MR, which help to minimize lift. We call them “vortex generators.” You can call them the reason why you’re stuck to the road.
Speaking of the road, we also upgraded the Lancer Evolution MR with new lightweight, forged aluminum BBS wheels. The one-piece design looks better than cash for Christmas, and they optimize the quick reflexes of the specially tuned Bilstein shocks. Add the high-performance Yokohama Advan tires, and you have some high-performance treads that stick like crazy.
