Margaret Carter, 61, of Temple Hills, MD, died on Tuesday, June 13.
She was bom in Washington, Va., Rappahannock County on May 31, 1945, the daughter of the late Catherine Carter and Raymond Freeman.
At the time of her death, she worked for the United State Postal Service for 40 years as well as being an Avon Sales representative. She also worked at Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C.
She is survived by a son, Gregory Allen Carter of Temple Hills, MD.
Additional survivors include a sister, Mary Groves and her husband, Julia Groves of Washington, Va., a niece, two nephews and three aunts, two uncles and a host of relatives and friends.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, June 17, at the First Baptist Church in Washington, Va. Interment followed in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Washington, Va.
