If you go

There are signs on Route 522 in Flint Hill (intersection with Fodderstack Road) and another closer to Massies corner at Aileen Road directing visitors to the Cherries on Topi. The orchard is open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily. Its last day of operation for the season is this coming Sunday, June 25. Cherries are $3.00 a pound with no charge for those you eat while picking. There is one road going up the mountain and another coming down, clearly marked. A cautionary note: the gravel mountain road is steep and requires a 4-wheel drive vehicle*—or a front-wheel drive at a minimum. Heed the sign: keep up your speed
